6x10 FT Heavy-Duty Walk-In Greenhouse: All-Season Polycarbonate & Aluminum Kit with Raised Base

Master the seasons with the ultimate backyard sanctuary. This 6x10 FT Polycarbonate Greenhouse is a professional-grade solution for gardeners who demand year-round performance. Engineered with a rust-resistant aluminum frame and shatterproof twin-wall panels, it provides a precision-controlled environment for everything from winter seed-starting to high-summer vegetable harvesting.

Unlike temporary covers, this is a permanent structural investment for your garden, specifically designed to withstand the rigors of the Canadian climate.

Why Invest in This 6x10 Greenhouse?

  • A Permanent Upgrade to Your Garden: The combination of a reinforced aluminum frame and a galvanized raised base ensures your gardening hobby survives heavy snow and high winds.

  • Year-Round Growing Power: Perfect for overwintering citrus trees or starting spring crops up to 2 months earlier than traditional outdoor gardening.

  • Walk-In Comfort: Featuring a high-clearance ceiling, this greenhouse allows you to work, prune, and harvest comfortably without ever having to crouch.

  • Low-Maintenance Durability: Constructed with high-grade materials that require nothing more than a simple seasonal hose-down to look and perform like new.

Key Performance Features

    • 4mm High-Impact Polycarbonate: These twin-wall "sun panels" block 99.9% of harmful UV rays while ensuring 70% optimal light transmission. They are tested to withstand temperatures from -20°C to 70°C, preventing plant scorch and frost damage.

    • Rust-Resistant Aluminum Frame: The powder-coated aluminum alloy skeleton provides industrial-strength structural integrity without the risk of corrosion or rust.

    • Smart Ventilation System: Includes an adjustable roof vent to manage humidity and airflow, encouraging natural pollination and preventing heat stress during peak summer months.

    • Secure Sliding Door: The smooth-glide sliding door system offers effortless access while keeping local wildlife, pests, and pets safely away from your delicate plants.

    • Integrated Water Management: Features a built-in drainage gutter system and a sloped roof to prevent water accumulation and facilitate easy rainwater harvesting.

🇨🇦 The Ultimate Canadian Gardening Guide (2026 Edition)

Gardening in Canada is a rewarding challenge. From the lush valleys of British Columbia to the rugged Prairies and the Atlantic coast, the key to success lies in understanding your Hardiness Zone and Frost Dates.

1. Know Your Zone & Frost Dates

Canada is divided into plant hardiness zones ranging from Zone 0 (Arctic) to Zone 9 (Vancouver Island). Most Canadian backyard gardens fall between Zones 3 and 6.

  • Last Spring Frost: Usually mid-to-late May (Victoria Day weekend is the traditional planting time for many).
  • First Fall Frost: Can occur as early as September in the Prairies or late October in Southern Ontario.
  • 2026 Forecast: Expect a "traditional" winter with lingering cold in the East and Prairies. Plan for a slightly cautious start to the spring planting season.

2. Planting Calendar: What to Plant & When

🌱 Early Spring (April to Early May)

Cool-season crops can handle light frost and should be planted as soon as the soil is workable.

  • Direct Sow: Radishes, Spinach, Lettuce, Peas, Onions, and Kale.
  • Potatoes: Plant tubers about 2–3 weeks before the last frost.

☀️ Late Spring / Early Summer (Late May to June)

Warm-season crops are frost-tender and must wait until the night temperature stays consistently above 10°C (50°F).

  • Transplant (Started Indoors): Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplants, and Basil.
  • Direct Sow: Beans, Corn, Cucumbers, Squash, and Zucchini.

🍂 Late Summer (August)

Fall Harvest: Start a second round of cool-weather crops for a September/October harvest.

  • Plant: Beets, Carrots, and more leafy greens.
  • Garlic: Plant cloves in October for harvest the following summer.

3. Top 5 Tips for the Canadian Short Season

  1. Start Indoors: Use grow lights to start tomatoes and peppers indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. This "cheats" the short summer.
  2. Choose "Early" Varieties: Look for seeds labeled "Short Season," "Early Maturity," or "Sub-Arctic." These are bred to fruit faster.
  3. Raised Beds: Soil in raised beds warms up much faster in the spring than the ground, allowing you to plant 1–2 weeks earlier.
  4. Use Protection: Keep frost blankets (Remay) or "cloches" handy for unexpected late-May frost warnings.
  5. Mulch for Moisture: Canadian summers can be dry. Use mulch (straw or wood chips) to keep roots cool and retain water.

Not as big as I had hoped, did not realize how short a 5-foot side wall would be next to my 5'7"... nevertheless, not the fault of the product, exactly a good size for where I live (city). Family member who assembled it for me said it was easy to put together, just took a little more time than he expected. Or maybe it was his breaks were longer than he thought. It is too soon to tell how my plants will fare inside, but they are cooked (literally) outside, so looking forward to seeing an improvement - love the vent in the roof. Oh yeah, good price too.

Sturdy and Reliable

I am very happy with my Mythos Greenhouse purchase. I have had it since the summer and it has exceeded my expectations. Now that we have had a few snowfalls I am pleased with how well it is holding up and am confident I will have it for many years to come. In the winter I am using the space more for storage, and I may invest in heating in the future to use it more in the colder months.
