Let customers speak for us
Love this even more than I thought. It took 3 days to build, plus several days for the cement foundation and 2 more for the rock retaining wall. . . but I love it! Very study, roomy and nice quality. A bit pricey.
The assembled green house is excellent. It was easy to put together and the directions were clear.
Easy to assemble and look nice.
Lives up to photos. Well designed. Mostly very accurate fabrication. Holes line up well if instructions are followed carefully. Happy with the product overall.
Was fairly easy to build. I was challenged by lack of area to layout pieces. Was able to put all the pieces in from above. None were put in from the ground. Only issue I didn’t get the width with the upper gutters. I would have allowed a couple more inches between the shed
Love this greenhouse. Put the biggest size I could. Challenge for us was the foundation. Ended up putting concrete at the corners, then using some treated wood to ensure stability and balance. As we have mice and squirrels that like to eat everything, we put gopher wire, then landscape mat and then some plastic pavers with small openings. These then held the small pea pebbles we used as the top layer ensuring more stability with in the greenhouse. It is a big job to put this together. We got some help which took a full 2 days. Totally worth it. I’m super happy!
We love our new greenhouse. We even enjoyed our coffee in it this morning. Shipping was fast. Directions were spit on, easy to understand and follow. And customer service was excellent! We actually had a wrong part in a bag that was supposed to have two identical brackets. They weren't identical so we couldn't complete our greenhouse until we had the correct bracket. Of course this happened during the Christmas holidays. The customer service representative I dealt with was apologetic, helpful, and communicated with me through emails until the part was delivered. Great job!
We just purchased and assembled our greenhouse. We ordered our greenhouse from GreenhouseSale because we really liked our GreenhouseSale planters - they are wonderful. The greenhouse is equally wonderful. It went together easily- took 2 people and a ladder. Everything fit beautifully. We live on an Island in the Pacific Northwest; we live on the ocean facing Canada. Not much in the way when storms come down from Canada. The greenhouse has beautifully weathered two windstorms with grace and style. We haven’t added shelves or a heater yet. But totally excited to do so. All and all a wonderful purchase- extremely well built, sturdy, and beautiful. Easy to assemble. All and all hugely recommend.Read less
We love our little shanty like greenhouse. Solid design and build, easy to assemble, small but functional. Time to start planting and sprouting from seeds!
The design of this greenhouse is fantastic. I built a platform base for it, and I’ve been very happy seeing it in my garden and the light use we’ve already had this winter. The install was a much bigger pain than they let on: I love that the instructions include which box every item is in, but I hated spending hours stripping plastic film from every piece: two contractor bags worth! Overall, it’s a gorgeous piece. The inside is staying mostly dry through the freeze-thaw of our winters.
The shelf is perfect. I bought another one for the other side of the greenhouse.
Not that easy to set up, it took several hours. My plants are happy and protected from harsh weather. It is sturdy and strong, it works great and not too stiff. Highly recommended
I'm very happy with this greenhouse. The aluminum frame feels sturdy, and the polycarbonate panels hold up well against wind and rain. The adjustable roof vent is a great feature for airflow, and assembly was easier than expected. It provides plenty of space for plants and tools, making it both practical and enjoyable.
I was very nervous about ordering this because the reviews are all over the board. I’m so glad I ordered it! We got the 8 x 10. My husband put this together in one day, no issues AT ALL! I live in the south with some crazy weather so we will be anchoring this to concrete (after we raise it first) and I feel very confident it can sustain the winds and rain. I will update after a few months but so far I’m so happy with this greenhouse. Overall this feels very sturdy and stable. Love it!
This turned out beautifully, but it took many hours to put it together. Parts have blown off and had to add tape to keep them for blowing off again. It looks nice and clean.
Best Sellers: Winter Heavy-Duty Greenhouses Canada | 4-Season DIY Greenhouse Kits
Welcome to our curated collection of Best Sellers, where engineering meets the passion of Canadian gardening. At GreenhouseSale.ca, we understand that "all-season" has a very different meaning in Ottawa or Calgary than it does anywhere else in the world. To thrive in the Great White North, a greenhouse must be more than a shelter; it must be a fortress against the elements.
Our top-rated 4-season DIY greenhouse kits are specifically handpicked based on their proven performance across Canada’s diverse and demanding climatic zones. From the coastal humidity of Vancouver to the sub-zero frost pockets of Saskatchewan, these structures are designed to help you grow 365 days a year.
Engineered for the Canadian Extremes
What makes a greenhouse a "Best Seller" in Canada? It comes down to three non-negotiable technical pillars: Snow Load, Wind Resistance, and Thermal Efficiency.
1. Defying the Snow Belts of Ontario and Quebec
In cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City, a standard greenhouse is often crushed under the weight of wet, heavy snow. Our heavy-duty kits, such as the 6x10 FT Modern Black Polycarbonate Greenhouse, are engineered with reinforced 6063-T5 aluminum frames and steep gothic-arch or peak-roof pitches.
-
Snow Load Authority: Our best-sellers are tested to handle static loads exceeding 60-80 kg/m². This ensures that even during a mid-February blizzard in Ottawa, your structure remains stable, allowing the snow to slide off naturally rather than accumulating to a breaking point.
2. Mastering the Prairie Winds
Gardening in Calgary, Edmonton, or Winnipeg presents a unique challenge: relentless, high-velocity wind gusts. A flimsy "big-box" greenhouse can become a kite during a Prairie storm.
-
Wind-Rated Stability: Our 4-season kits feature integrated galvanized steel bases and specialized anchoring systems. Designed to withstand wind gusts up to 100 km/h, these greenhouses stay firmly rooted in the ground, protecting your delicate seedlings from the thermal shock of high-speed air infiltration.
3. Maximum Insulation for the Maritimes and Beyond
From the frost-heave soils of Halifax to the fluctuating temperatures of St. John's, insulation is key. Our best-selling kits utilize 4mm to 10mm double-wall polycarbonate panels. Unlike traditional glass, this "twin-wall" technology creates an insulating air pocket that provides a significantly higher R-value (thermal resistance).
-
UV Protection & Heat Retention: Co-extruded with a UV400 protective layer, these panels block 99.9% of harmful radiation while trapping long-wave infrared heat inside. This ensures that even when Regina hits -30°C, your internal heating costs remain manageable, and your cool-season crops like kale and spinach remain frost-free.
Why Choose Our 4-Season DIY Kits?
Every product in our Best Sellers list is a DIY-friendly kit designed for the Canadian homeowner. We provide everything you need to transform your backyard into a year-round oasis:
-
Walk-In Comfort: Our designs prioritize vertical space, allowing for comfortable gardening even when wearing winter gear.
-
Precision Ventilation: Equipped with adjustable roof vents and high-clearance doors, our greenhouses prevent the "winter mold" (Botrytis) common in poorly ventilated structures.
-
Aesthetic & Durability: The sleek Black Powder-Coated finishes aren't just for looks—they provide an extra layer of protection against the corrosive salts and humidity typical of Canadian winters.
